Analysis and assessment of the Russian IT market using business analytics tools

Abstract

The article presents the main methods and results of research of the Russian IT market using business analytics tools. The source data for the analysis were various indicators of the IT market and its segments for the period from 2011 to 2022. The Power BI business intelligence system was used to collect, visualize and analyze aggregated data, and statistical calculations were performed using the Pandas library of the Python language. Interactive reports developed in Power BI allowed us to analyse not only the IT market as a whole, but also its segment - the IT services market, as well as to assess the state of the website development services market. The obtained research results correlate with authoritative studies in this area. The approach, methods and tools for analysing the IT market presented in the article are rather plain, versatile and effective for researching and assessing the performance of individual companies and industries.
