Abstract
The Kantoweski-Sachs spacetimes in the context of creation field theory of Hoyle and Narlikar are investigated. Exact solutions are derived by considering an arbitrary creation field function of two independent variables. Exploring the physical parameters of these solutions reveal that both the inflationary scenario and the accelerated expansion of the universe are possible in the framework of C-field cosmology even if no restriction is made on the C-field function. In order to avoid the Big Bang scenario, a non-singular solution was introduced. This solution indicates that a linear C-field function gives rise to a universe of constant energy density.
