Abstract
(o-Trimethylsilylbenzyl)diphenylphosphine (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a = 14.088(2), b = 8.712(1), c = 16.481(2)Å, β = 101.63(1)°, V -1981.3 Å3 Z = 4. There is no P-Si interaction in the solid state which is also found for the solution (31P NMR, 13C NMR).
