Abstract
The crystal structure of Ca5Ga2N4 (orthorhombic, space group Cmca, a = 487.3(2) pm, b =1110.5(3) pm, c = 1421.7(4) pm, Z = 4) contains infinite zig-zag chains of Ga atoms, which are in a tetrahedral coordination by two additional nitrogen atoms in terminal positions.
