Abstract

The new intermetallic compound Li2Sb has been prepared and its crystal structure has been determined. It crystallizes hexagonally, a = 794.6 ± 0.5 pm, c = 652.7 ± 1.0 pm, c/a = 0.821, space group P 6̅2c–D3h 4 isotypic with Mg2Ga. Relations to the Zintl-phases are discussed.
