Abstract
Abstract
Screw extrusion additive manufacturing (SEAM) is an additive manufacturing process in which plastic granulate is melted and extruded using a screw extruder. In contrast to filament-based processes, this enables higher output rates and a greater variety of materials. One of the main challenges is the efficient cooling of the extrudates. An optimized cooling system is presented and its application potential demonstrated.
