Abstract

Cs2Sb8S13 has been prepared and its structure determined. It crystallizes in the triclinic system P1̄ with a = 1543.7(5) pm, b = 1148.8(4) pm, c = 829.9(4) pm; α = 71.89(5)°, β = 102.45(5)°, γ = 95.16(5)°. SbS3-ψ-tetrahedra and SbS4-ψ-trigonal bipyramids are connected together to sheets, separated by Cs ions.
