Abstract

Abstract RbSb3S5 · H2O has been prepared and its structure determined. The compound crystallizes triclinic, P1̄ with a = 1053.6(5) pm, b = 893.8(5) pm, c = 599.0(5) pm, α = 87.09(5)°, β = 100.33(5)° and γ = 102.39(5)°. SbS4-ψ-trigonal bipyramids and SbS3-ψ-tetrahedra are connected together to sheets separated by Rb-ions and water molecules.
