Abstract

The 1,2-dimethyl-4-phenyl-1-benzothiepinium salts 2a-c have been prepared by alkylation of the parent 1 -benzothiepins 1a -c with methyl fluorosulfonat and their thermal behaviour was investigated with regard to the formation of sulphur-free reaction products.
