Abstract
The phosphor ZnS-Au activated in the presence of zinc exhibits a blue emission band (Emax = 2,58 eV) which can be ascribed to associated Au′Zn-Vׄs-centres. A reversible interconversion of “blue” and “green” centres is achieved by retiring the phosphor samples in a suitable gas atmosphere
