Abstract

Sodium pentaphosphacyclopentadienide has been prepared as a pure NaP5/[18]crown-6/THFsolution by reacting white phosphorus with sodiumdihydrogenphosphide (P :NaPH2 = 5:1 to 5.6:1) in boiling tetrahydrofuran in the presence of [18]crown-6.
