From the culture media of Pseudomonas aptata 4b and of Pseudomonas fluorescens ATCC 13525 5,6-dihydropyoverdin-7-sulfonic acids could be isolated. Their possible role in the biogenetic pathway leading to the pyoverdins will be discussed
