Abstract
Abstract Laser emission has been obtained from coronene in methyl-cyclohexane/isopentane (MCH/IP) at 100 °K with a wavelength of 4439 Å (22 522 cm-1). It is remarkable for its very low value of threshold energy (≦ 50 Ws) and its very shot relaxation oscillations (τ½ ~ 10-20 ns). The theoretrical considerations for a laser with aromatic hydrocarbons are compared with our practical results.
