Abstract
Abstract
In a series of liquid Cu-Ga alloys, the 63Cu and 71Ga Knight-shift K was measured in a high temperature NMR-Spectrometer from 400 to 1200 °C. Alloying the Cu-Ga host with 2% Mn causes a strong change in K which comes mainly from nuclei in the nearest neighborhood (l.n.n.) of Mn. This gives a first estimate of the conduction electron spin polarisation close to Mn. The data are compared to previous results in the Cu-Al-Mn system.
