Abstract
The 93.5 keV-317.9 keV-cascade was used in a delayed γ-γ-coincidence experiment to measure the lifetime of the 317.9 keV-level in 129Xe. The excited states of 129Xe were populated by the decay of 129Cs. A combination of a NaI (Tl) -and a Ge (Li) -detector was used. The evaluation of data resulted in the following estimation
T½(317.9 keV-level, 129Xe) < 500 ps.
