Abstract
An algorithm is presented to be used in the computer evaluation of ion-sensitive photographic plates in spark source analyses by mass spectroscopy. It is shown that this algorithm permits the attainment of the precision of photoplate evaluation demanded by theory, i. e. a precision of 0.015 relative standard deviation of the measured ion density for a mass spectral line of area 0.05 mm2.
