Abstract

Abstract Corporate wokeism may be sustainable in an imperfectly competitive market when the higher costs driven by the inefficiency in employing labor inputs are offset by the increase in positive-margin sales generated from being “woke.” This is the mechanism by which woke corporations are potentially rewarded rather than punished by the competitive process in the new market economy.
