Abstract
The style of theological scientific writings is partly similar with the writings of other scientific fields, but also has unique features. The style of theological writings is also a product of a particular topic of research of theology itself. In this paper we analyse the lexical features of theological scientific writings, with the special emphasis on the vocabulary of popular scientific theological papers in comparison to the works of the academic substyle as the representative of scientific style. The results from the statistical analysis carried out were used for contrastive analysis, and the expressive and emotional markers were underlined.
