NMR investigations and nuclear magnetic moment of 33S

Abstract

The ratio of the Larmor frequencies of 33S and 85Rb has been measured and a magnetic moment for 33S of μ(33S in SO4 2- in D2O) =0.643 1028(14)/μN has been calculated. 33S chemical shifts have been determined and the SO4 2- ion in aqueous alkali sulfate solutions is proposed as 33S NMR reference compound.
