Elektronenmikroskopische Untersuchungen an Plasmonabänderungen von Epilobium-Bastarden

Abstract

Mitochondria revealing an atypical differentiation of their tubular inner membranes have been found to occur in “mixed cells”together with the normal mitochondrial type in the meristem of one shoot apex of an Epilobium cytoplasmone alteration. This finding, indicating the likely genetical independence of both types of mitochondria, is discussed with regard to recent results of biochemical and genetical investigations on the hereditary basis of the chondriome.
