Abstract
Trichloroacetimidicacidmethylester reacts with antimony(V) chloride to yield the 1-trichloromethyl-1-methoxi-methylenimonium-hexachloroantimonate(V) (1). 1 eliminates methylchloride and gives the 1:1-adduct (3) of trichloroacetamide and antimony(V) chloride. The vibrational spectra of 1 and 3 are communicated.
