Abstract

Abstract The new pyrone derivative grevillin D (3) has been iso­lated from several Suillus species. Its structure has been established by spectral data, taking advantage of large pyri­dine solvent shifts in the 1H-N M R spectrum . 3 may be derived biogenetically from grevillin B (1) via an oxidative rearrangement.
