Abstract

The title compound 7 is prepared in a five-step synthesis starting from 1,2-di-O-acetyl-5-O-benzoyl-3-deoxy-3-O-(diethoxyphosphonomethyl)-β-D-ribofuranose (2). The preferred conformation of 7 is derived from its 1H and 13C NMR data
