Abstract

1,1′-Thiocarbonyldiimidazole converts N-substituted glycolohydroxamic acids (1) at room temperature into 6-thioxoperhydro-1,5,2-dioxazino-3-ones (2 B), which are highly reactive heterocyclic compounds. In the presence of primary amines (3), benzyloxyamine (6a), hydroxylamine (6b) and hydrazines (8a-d) ring transformation of 2 B occurs, yielding 2-thioxooxazolidine-4-ones of type 5, 7 and 9.
