Über die Kristallstruktur der Phenylsulfinsäure C6H5SO2H [11] / On the Crystal Structure of Phenylsulfinic Acid C6H3SO2H [1]

Abstract

Phenylsulfinic acid C6Fr5SO2H crystallizes in the orthorombic space group Pna21, a = 734.3(4), b = 579.9(5), c = 1476.5(9) pm, with four formula units per unit cell. The configuration of the sulfur atom is pyramidal. The molecules form infinite chains via strong hydrogen bonds. The Raman spectra of C6H5SO2H and C6H5SOCl are reported and discussed.
