Analysis of human thymus steroids by liquid-gel chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry revealed in dependence of age 4-pregnene-3,20-dione, 11β-hydroxy-4-pregnene-3,20-dione, 7β-hydroxycholesterol, and 7-ketocholesterol. 11β-Hydroxy-4-pregnene-3,20-dione should be the inhibitor of immune maturation.
