Hydrostannation of dimethyldiethynylstannane with dimethylstannane leads to 1,1,4,4-tetramethyl-1,4-distanna-2,5-cyclohexadiene, a simple representative of the 1,4-distanna-2,5-cyclohexadiene ring system. With copper(I) chloride an unusually stable bis(copper(I) chloride) complex is obtained
