Abstract

Abstract BaHgSnS4 was prepared for the first time and the crystal structure determined by using single crystal X-ray methods, a = 1080,4, b = 1084,o, c = 661,3 pm. Space group: C10 2V-Pnn2 (No. 34) orthorhombic. There are pairs of edge-sharing tetrahedra linked together to form two-dimensional net works. The crystal structure is similar to that of BaCdSnS4 [1].
