Renal lymphangiectasia treated with percutaneous drainage and sclerotherapy

Abstract

Abstract Renal lymphangiectasia is a rare benign condition of the lymphatic system. Primarily, the diagnosis is based upon characteristic imaging findings along with biochemical analysis of aspirated fluid. No definitive algorithm exists for treating this condition owing to its rarity. The literature describes various modes of management ranging from conservative management to nephrectomies. We present a case of bilateral renal lymphangiectasia managed with percutaneous drainage along with sclerotherapy. Our initial findings show a favorable outcome with this approach.
