Abstract
The methanido-bis(aminophosphonium) salts
3a-d can easily be synthesized by CCl4-reaction of Ph2PCH2PPh2. Their structure is confirmed by 31P{1H} and 13C{1H} NMR data. Dehydrohalogenation by NaH yields the methanidobis( phosphoranylamide/imide) 4 c. Several possible tautomers of 4c are discussed. With excess NaH the salts 3 a-d react to form the sodium-[methanido-bis(diphenylphosphoniumimides)] 5 a-d, sodium chelates of 4.
