Abstract

The ternary oxides BaPrO3 and BaTbO3 crystallize in a slightly rhombic distorted perovskite lattice. According to the results of the optical and magnetic investigations both compounds contain also Pr3 ⊕) and Tb3 ⊕, respectively.
