Allantoin, the iridoid glucoside lamiide, and the flavonoide compound sorbarin could be isolated from the methanolic extract of the poisonous brazilian plant Pseudocalymma elegans. NMR data of lamiide, of its penta- and hexaacetate as well as of sorbarin are discussed.
