Abstract

Abstract IR, Raman and NMR spectroscopic studies of dimethyl(methylthio)-and dimethyl(phenyl-thio)sulfonium salts (CH3)2SSR+A- (R = CH3 , C6H5 ; A = AsF6 -, SbCl6 -) are reported. The crystal structure of (CH3)2SSCH3 +AsF6 - shows for the cation a conformation different from that reported for the hexachloroantimonate.
