Abstract
Single crystals of Ga2TiO5 were prepared and investigated by Xray goniometer data: α = 9.792; b = 9.966; c = 3.597 Å; spacegroup D17
2h-Bbmm. Ga2TiO5 is isotypic with the pseudobrookite structure compounds, and has a statistical distribution of metal positions. The crystal structure stabilizes Ga3+ within distorted octahedral surrounding of oxygen.
