Abstract

The products of the reaction between [AgCl(dppe)], [M(CO)5PR2H] and TlOEt are the ionic complexes [Ag(η2-dppe)2]+(Ag{(μ-PR2)M(CO)5}2]-, R = Ph. M = Cr, Mo, W; R = Cy, M = Cr (dppe = (CH2PPh2)2, Cy = Cyclohexyl). The silver(I)-phosphido-ate title complexes are also accessible from AgO3SCF3, [M(CO)5PR2H] and Et2NH or MeO-. Asymmetric phosphido argen- tates of the type [Ag{(μ-PR2)M(CO)5}{(μ-PR′2)M′(CO)5}]-, R = R′ = Ph; M, M′ = Cr, Mo, W; M ≠ M′. R = Ph, R′ = Cy, M = Cr, Mo, W, M′ = Cr are formed via synproportionation of the respective symmetric compounds. The new complexes were characterized by 31P NMR spectroscopy.
