1-(3-Chloro-2-butenyl)-3-methylpyrazole and 1-(3-chloro-2-butenyl)-5-methylpyrazole from oxidation products of hydrazo-3-chloro-2-butene

Abstract

By oxidation of hydrazo-3-chloro-2-butene, (I), 1-(3-chloro-2-butenyl)-3-methylpyrazole (VII) and 1-(3-chloro-2-butenyl)-5-methylpyrazole (IV) are formed; the structures of these compounds have been proved by 1H NMR, UV, IR and mass spectrometry.
