Abstract
In this study, four individuals of pilot fish Naucrates ductor which were accidentally caught by a commercial purse seiner in Edremit Bay (Aegean Sea) were investigated. The morphometric and meristic characteristics, sex, maturity stages, otoliths, age and stomach contents of the specimens were evaluated. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing additional records from specimens reported from the northernmost location reported so far as well as other biological information for the rarely observed pilotfish.
