Abstract
The paper considers the factors influencing the labor activity of the population and the dynamics of this indicator in Russia. A regression equation is constructed that links the level of labor force participation with real wages. A strong positive relationship was found between these two indicators in the period 2000–2017, which is linear in nature. The presence of this connection allows us to assume that, since 2000, in our country in the field of labor relations, the laws of the market began to operate.
