The CERA coastal surveys were supported by grants from the USDA Rural Development program, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, Ford Foundation, Kellogg Foundation, and at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) the College of Liberal Arts, Carsey Institute and Vice Provost for Research. All sampling and interviews were done by the UNH Survey Center.
