In December 1996 the Commision released the background papers entitledFederal jurisdiction(BP 1);Alternative or assisted dispute resolution(BP 2);Judicial and case management(BP 3);The unrepresented party(BP 4) andCivil litigation practice and procedure(BP 5). The Commision has also released the following issues papers: federal civil litigation (IP 20 April 1997); legal training and education (IP 21 August 1997); family law proceedings (IP 22 October 1997); technology and federal dispute resolution (IP 23 March 1998); federal trbunals(IP 24 April 1998); and ADR and federal dispute resolution (IP 25 June 1998). The timetable is set for the Commision to release a discussion paper in June 1999 with the final report provided to the Attorney-General in November 1999.
