2. Ormond House, sometimes known as Juniper Hall, still stands in Paddington, with its original front garden occupied by shops. In addition to the Randwick Asylum use, it housed the N.S.W. Institution for the Deaf and Dumb and the Blind from 1868–1872, prior to the occupation of its Newtown premises. Most ironically it became in 1885 the headquarters of the State Children's Relief Board, the successor to the Randwick Asylum.
