Spirituality and business: one scholar’s perspective

Abstract

In this essay a senior scholar reflects on the evolution of spirituality as a subject within management studies. The author traces the development of scholarly interest in the Academy of Management. He suggests areas of increasing understanding and aspects in need of further development. He offers encouragement but also admonishes caution for scholars who wish to address the tender interface of spirituality and leadership.
