1. Prepared as followed: 2,2,2-trichloroethanol (149 g, 1 mol) and (n-Bu3Sn)2O (298 g, 0.5 mol) was refluxed in benzene for 16 hr. After the solvent was evaporatedin vacuo, the residue was distilled (bp 163–170°C/ 5 mmHg) to give 2,2,2-trichloroethyltri-n-butyltin oxide in a quantitative yield.
