Abstract
AbstractWhen constructing tunnels in soft rock, improper excavation footage selection can cause instability and collapse. Using Xie Jiajie’s shallow tunnel surrounding rock pressure model, this study expands from 2D to 3D. A formula is deduced to calculate the excavation footage in soft rock, ensuring stability. This formula is used to analyze the excavation footage of Kyrgyzstan's north-south Yueling tunnel using the step method, and combined with numerical simulation analysis, the optimal excavation footage is obtained, which provides a reference for tunnel construction.
