Abstract
AbstractThere are many hydropower stations (HPS) around the world, which consist of hydropower units that convert the potential energy of water in rivers or reservoirs into electrical energy. Global hydropower generation in 2022 totaled 4,334.190 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%. The proportion of global hydropower generation in total global power generation was 16.0% in 2022.
