This study demonstrates that routine scrotal ultrasound not only provides valuable information in the diagnostic evaluation of infertile men, but it also reveals that infertile men have substantially more pathological conditions, which were more effectively detected by ultrasound as compared with clinical palpation. The high prevalence of testicular malignancies highlights the clinical relevance of routine scrotal ultrasonography in infertile men.
