1. H. Erlichson:Amer. Journ. Phys.,41, 1068 (1973). This paper gives a critical review and a comparison between a Lorentzian-type theory and Einstein's theory of special relativity. There it is stated that to date no theoretical proof exists which shows the impossibility of making an experimental distinction between the two types theories. A Lorentzian-type theory is every theory which assumes a preferred or absolute frame, real-time dilations and real-length contractions as a function of velocity with respect to this frame.

3. By absolute speed we mean speed with respect to the ether (preferred) frame. No assumptions on its nature are relevant. The velocity of the Earth is supposed to be small with respect to the absolute frame.

This statement should be justified since, if one accepts the bing-bang theory and some of its consequences concerning an isotropic distribution of microwave radiation, then one may be able to use every anisotropy in this radiation to measure its absolute velocity (i.e., the velocity with respect to a frame fixed at the big-bang event).
