The CATT trial (1185 patients) demonstrated that the 2-year visual outcomes of treatment with ranibizumab and bevacizumab were similar in the study groups receiving monthly injections, but with more serious systemic adverse events in patients treated with bevacizumab than with ranibizumab (adjusted risk ratio: 1.30).
