1. My contribution to the classical theory of scattering consists of an investigation (Verh. d. Deutsch. Phys. Ges., 1917, p. 243; 1918, p. 16) on the depolarisation of light scattered from anisotropic molecules.
2. The question of the limits of the present theories has been recently discussed in two interesting papers by Heisenberg (Ann. d. Phys., 1938, (5),32, 20;Zeitsch. f. Phys., 1938,110, 25).
