Abstract
AbstractThe cytoskeleton is a primarily dynamic network of protein filaments, such as actin filaments and microtubules, which reach throughout the cell’s interior. All motile processes of the cell depend on the finely tuned turnover of the cytoskeleton. Interference consequently leads to failure of e.g. migration, cytokinesis, or autophagy. We here discuss compounds that specifically affect aspects of actin assembly, microtubule stability and autophagy by targeting the central signaling axis on which they converge.
